Accredited Special Inspection & Testing

Pacific Stair partners with licensed, certified Special Inspection and Testing Agencies that are nationally accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). These agencies meet all ASTM C1077 and ASTM D3666 requirements, ensuring rigorous quality standards. Their certifications provide Pacific Stair with confidence that all inspection and testing processes adhere to strict quality control protocols, as well as nationally and internationally recognized standards.

American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)

The AISC Quality Management System (QMS) Certification is the leading national quality certification for the structural steel industry. This certification holds us accountable for every aspect of our operations, including management oversight, employee training, material procurement and handling, and project-specific erection plans.

Certified Welding Fabricators – American Welding Society (AWS) 

Pacific Stair ensures that all welding is performed in accordance with a qualified Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) by certified welders. Our welders have passed rigorous testing, maintain up-to-date qualification test records, and can verify their ability to meet WPS standards.

Our certified welding standards are established by the American Welding Society (AWS). The Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) outlines the specific welding procedures to be followed, while the Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) defines the test sheets associated with these procedures. The PQR includes two parts: one detailing all welding parameters and the other documenting the actual test results. Additionally, our independent testing laboratory issues a Welder Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) based on the weld tests. Together, these four documents form the complete certification set.
